About Permafuzz
Permafuzz is an independent platform for stoner, doom, psych and other fuzz-driven underground music.
We started Permafuzz because there are always great releases popping up that get lost in the noise of streaming services, social media and algorithms. Our aim is simple: to uncover the music that deserves a wider audience.
To do this, we use technology to monitor relevant sources and discover new releases, videos and signals from the underground. The technology helps us find the music – but it never decides what’s worth listening to.
All recommendations, comments and reviews are based on human judgement. We listen, assess and select what we believe deserves attention. Sometimes it’s an established name. Just as often, it’s a small band that has just released its first single.
Permafuzz is not an automated news feed. We see ourselves as curators and enthusiasts with a passion for heavy riffs, psychedelic detours, fuzz pedals and music that deserves to be discovered.
The aim is not to cover everything. The aim is to find the best signals.
